Ferenc Fehér
Tao Te

Ferenc Fehér was the choreographer of La Commedia from 1999 to 2007. He never received any training as a dancer in the classic sense, but thanks to practical tendencies (such as electric-boogie and martial arts) that had a defining influence on his art, and to  work with Anikó Juhász, he has developed an individual style. He has constructed a personal world of movement based primarily on his own inspiration and the inner impulses of his body. In his case, the choreographer has always been inseparable from the performer: the forecful stage presence of an unusual personality has always authenticated sequences of movement, built up for the most part from improvisations. Since 2007 he has worked as a freelance choreographer.

Therefore the beings:
some go ahead, some go after,
some sigh, some brag,
some are vigorous, some worn out,
some climb, some crash.

"Lao-ce, Tao Te King"
translated by Dr. Hilmar Klaus

choreographer and creators: Ferenc FEHÉR, Ákos DÓZSA

Fehér arrives with a street-dance style shoulder-roll and is able, stretched out on the ground, to finish a sequence of movements with a lyrical  arm-movement … Dózsa keeps kicking his head without touching it, while Fehér twitches in time to the kicks as precisely as if  he really were kicking him …  spoken or unspoken, a kind of story or moral lesson can be seen on the stage, or at least a piece of referential reality occurs, by clinging to which each action on stage becomes palpable empathically, without explicit explanation.
