Debates & events at dunaPart club

The second edition of dunaPart not only aims to treat you to a 3-day crash course on the Hungarian performing arts scene with an extremely diverse artistic programme, but also to give you a chance for special encounters:

  • visit selected dance and theatre venues (production houses, residency spaces and arts centers) around Budapest
  • meet the artists one-on-one in one of the city’s famed coffeehouses
  • participate in panel discussions on relevant issues of the performing arts scene
  • get to know the plans and projects of Hungarian artists and organisations at the morning pitch session
  • get better acquainted with fellow international presenters who will present their organisations and the way they work to enable a better understanding of the diverse international context we work in.

We would like to offer you a full-fledged professional programme alongside the performances that you will see and hope to engage you in an interesting and rewarding dialogue.

Thursday 20 January

10 am – 1 pm >  Workshop for Hungarian performing arts managers  held by the participants of SPACE – Performing Arts Managers On the Move programme

3 pm – 5.30 pm >  Visit the Venues - Our Little Corner of the World
Site visit to four performing arts venues around Budapest
Meeting point for site visits: 3 pm at IMPRÓ

  

Friday 21 January

11 am – 1 pm >   Who we are and how we work: Presentations of international guests   

12.30 pm – 2 pm > Lunch

2 pm – 4 pm >  Panel discussions with international and Hungarian participants:  

Panel 1: Cultural financing and advocacy – The role of the local (artistic) community in times of „crisis“

2 pm – 5 pm >  Close Encounters with Hungarian artists in Budapest coffeehouses  

 

Saturday 22 January

11 am – 1 pm >   Pitch session   

12.30 pm – 2 pm > Lunch

2 pm – 3.30 pm >  Panel discussion with international and Hungarian participants:  

Panel 2: Export / import: current trends and strategies on the performing arts market

2 pm – 5 pm >  Close Encounters with Hungarian artists in Budapest coffeehouses  

3.30 pm – 6 pm >  Visit the Venues 2 - Our Little Corner of the World
